Why choose Dermaplaning?

When old skin cells start to accumulate on the surface of the skin, it can leave skin looking dull, rough, and dry. The build-up of dead skin cells can also result in excess oil and clogged pores, leading to blemishes and acne. Dermaplaning can even out pigmentation and promote the growth of healthy new skin cells, leaving skin looking fresh.

What is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning is a safe, comfortable mechanical exfoliation of the upper dermis. It requires the use of a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently “shave” the skin’s surface, removing the top-most layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair (aka peach fuzz).

How we are different.

Bensimon Center is committed to science and artistry. We offer the latest state-of-the-art procedures and products while giving our patients natural, long-lasting results. We perform thousands of Dermaplaning treatments each year. Instead of rushing patients through the process which can be uncomfortable, we take our time. A topical anesthetic is applied to the face prior to treatment. While waiting for the numbing agent to take effect, patients are invited to listen to relaxing music and enjoy views of the Broadway Bridge. These and other methods of distraction make our treatments the most Dermaplaning experience in Portland. Patients who use the BensiSkinTM clinical skincare line also report they are easily able to maintain a rejuvenated, youthful appearance by protecting their skin and following a healthy lifestyle.
